Dale Hire and Sales has been trading in mid and North Essex for over twenty years.

From small beginnings by Christopher Dale in 1973 the business has grown to take a leading position in the market place, offering a greater diversity of services than most Tool and Plant Hire Companies.

Initially foundered to accommodate the D.I.Y. market, the Company now serves Public Utilities, Local Authorities, the Construction Industries and many Commercial Bodies.

Although still well placed to meet all D.I.Y. and gardening requirements (wall strippers, floor sanders, electric cement mixers, kango breakers and drills, welders, rotavators, lawn care equipment such as hollow tine aerators, etc.,) the Company, in recent years, has specialised in more varied and larger equipment such as:

We also have a fleet of vehicles for the delivery and collection of equipment.

The present directors, Christopher W. Dale and William J. Rogers have been together for twenty years and have built up the business to the stage where it operates from five locations CHELMSFORD, WITHAM, MALDON, HALSTEAD, BRAINTREE.

The two directors – backed by trained staff of long service and experience – have always been committed to a policy of providing high specification products and excellent service to our customers; and have formalised these aims and objectives in attaining BS 5750 accreditation (No. FS 29256) on 20th September 1994.

SAFETY AWARENESS

It is our policy to give full instructions, verbal and printed, on the safe and efficient use of all equipment hired from us.

We provide wherever possible written instructions and these we ask to be returned with the equipment. A charge is made when not returned.

In addition, our safety policy and aims always include the availability of, and the strong recommendation to use all possible items of personal protection such as: HARD HATS, GOGGLES, EAR DEFENDERS, GLOVES, FACE MASKS, PROTECTION LEGGINGS, ETC. These items are available in safety packs or individually for sale at all depots.

Also available is a RESIDUAL CURRENT DEVICE (RCD) to provide a high level of personal protection, especially when working outside with 240v equipment.

For further safety all electrical equipment is electrically safety tested ready for each hire.
